Last Campfire of 2007

Last Wednesday, I went up American Fork Canyon to have my last campfire of the year. It had been raining off and on all day, but we were hopeful because as we drove to the canyon, there was a break in the clouds and you could see blue sky. I was excited to get some pictures of the fall leaves and scenery. It got dark super fast and then proceeded to rain and quickly turn to snow. I was glad for the few fall pictures I got...and I was glad I was wearing shoes and socks because it got quite chilly. We had a few inches of snow on our cars when we were finished.

It was fun to photograph the river with a long exposure to get the movement of the water. And, I enjoyed using my flash at the campfire, which created some great effects! The last photo was my final attempt to photograph the snow....feeble, I know.
