Train Tracks and Tunnels

I had another photo shoot on Saturday, this one was with Wil. We found some cool locations on the south end of the Valley -- a field, a tunnel, and some train tracks. Wil is an aspiring photographer, currently working in design. You can check out his website at www.blackoutphoto.com. Here are some favorites from the day.

Cold Hands, Warm Hearts

This morning, as the frost on the grass was still melting, the Arnold family came with smiling faces to their family portrait. What a bright, beautiful bunch! Despite their freezing toes and fingers, all the grandchildren were so well behaved and looked so adorable. Here's a sneak peek....

Precious Princesses

Monday morning, I had the opportunity to photograph the beautiful Horne 'babies' in their beautiful dresses -- beautiful princess dresses, I should say. The girls felt and looked like princesses as we photographed them for the holidays. As usual, things didn't go quite as planned and they were both tired and fussy at the end, but we got a few that are simply precious. Here are some of my favorites.

Vintage Garage

Tonight we shot Katie's bridals. First we went to Memory Grove to get some beautiful fall colors, but the fun started when we went to our second location. It's a place with big red garage doors, weathered and old, but an amazing backdrop. Katie felt more comfortable here, so she really came out of her shell. We both had a blast. As you can see, if was hard to only pick a couple....Here's a SLIDESHOW of some of my favorites.

Cinnamon, Rose, and Sage

Friday evening, I had the opportunity to photograph Franni and Jason's wedding ceremony. It was somewhat unconventional, but richly inspiring with a Native American theme. Evan, the officiator and flute player, created a wedding totem consisting of native american medicine animals that correspond with the body's chakra (energy) systems, located in 8 different locations of the body, and the herbs that also go with each chakra for healing and power. Despite the rain which decided to pour right as the ceremony was underway, it was beautiful and enlightening. Best of luck to Franni and Jason!
