Alisi, Teisa, and Hannah

I had a wonderful time photographing Alisi, Teisa, and Hannah yesterday for the holidays. Susan, their grandma, had beautiful decorations and fun ideas for the girls.

We started by taking pictures of little Alisi, who is almost 9 months old now. Surrounded by presents and ribbon, she went to town making a mess doing the things that are usually "off limits". Then we photographed all three beauties in gorgeous silk green dresses having a tea party. Since the dishes were real, the moms had to be quick to make sure that none of them broke.

Then it was time for all the girls to open presents by the Christmas tree. It brought me back to the days when I was a child, eager and excited to open presents on Christmas morning. I love Christmastime!

Textures

Today, I have been spending hours playing with Photoshop and various textures. It's amazing the effects and mood you can create. I can't take credit for this idea. I have been looking at Jesh de Rox's blog for a few months. He has taken textures to the next level, creating beautiful, emotional images. I love the way his images feel and I wanted to try to see if I could do it, too. I experimented with some of my recent favorites (so, I apologize there isn't anything new) and each one is unique with its own textures and effects.

Little Baby Ethan

What a perfect way to start my morning! Ethan starred in his very first photo shoot. And, may I add, he handled it all quite well. He was born only 3 days ago and is seriously incredibly adorable. With all of his many expressions ranging from tiny smiles to grumpy frowns, and looks of confusion and awe, he is just so much fun to watch. I felt like I could've photographed him for hours because he kept on being so darn cute! Here are some of my favorites, plus there's slideshow at the bottom.
